Prime Minster Khan stated:
“The corridor is a manifestation of Pakistan-China friendship and the government will complete it at any cost and bring its fruit to every Pakistani”.
Under the CPEC project, all aspects of Pakistan would be improved and upgraded, in particular infrastructure to grow its economy through modernised transportation methods, energy projects and special economic zones for business development. Under Khan’s government, CPEC has been seen as an economic driver for the prosperity of Pakistan, however, the vision is a long-term effort between Pakistan and China.
Prime Minister Khan is highly focused on job creation and issued new initiatives across all major cities by advancing provincial governments to draw up upgrade plans. Another of his long-term objectives is alleviating poverty in regions.
Imran Khan lauded CPEC further: “CPEC is an excellent project in terms of socio-economic development of Pakistan.”
